Plans for Downswood Diggers to clear SSSi, care to join us?

You are welcome to help us tidy up the SSSI. It's the footpath round the side of Murrain Drive. The steps up the side of the Spot to the Otham field. It's a very special area and needs to be protected and looked after. We are meeting at 10am Saturday the 28th of October. Bring gardening gloves, secateurs, loppers, a rake and a spade. We will be making sure the bank isn't growing out of control and we need to burn some old branches we cut down at the beginning of the year.

We will also be planting some saplings and bulbs around the parish. If you are up for it meet us at Murrain Drive just up the steps and along the footpath at the beginning of the SSSi at 10am to finish for 12pm.
