Mallards Park
MBC informed the Parish Council some months ago that work is due to be carried out at Mallards Park. Having chased this up, DPC can advise that a project budget is now available to MBC and they will start drawing up a specification with the following aims for the lake and surrounds:•
- Remove silt from lake & utilise it to restore islands & build up eroded banks
- Bank stabilisation with removed silt held by porous membrane and new planting
All work will be undertaken outside breeding season for waterfowl – This is expected to be an Autumn/winter timetable.
