A Little Bit of Colour

Downswood Parish Council, working in close partnership with Maidstone Borough Council, has secured two new roadside planters to enhance the character of our community. These were installed this morning along Deringwood Drive, thoughtfully positioned to complement the natural long‑grass areas and bring a welcome splash of colour to the verge.

Filled with vibrant, seasonal plants provided courtesy of MBC, the planters not only brighten the street scene but also offer ecological benefits, supporting pollinators and enriching the local habitat. This small but meaningful addition reflects our shared commitment to nurturing both the beauty and biodiversity of Downswood.
