Councillor Lawrence Rustem
I have lived in nearby Shepway for almost five years and have enjoyed having moved to Maidstone from London, (I'm from Hackney in East London, originally) in December 2020, and deciding to call this borough my new home. I have aimed to address various important major such as the disgracefully poor quality of the road infrastructure as well as other issues within the Borough Ward that I live during the 2022 and 2024 Borough Council Elections. In May 2025 I became a member of Downswood Parish Council and as such I have made a personal vow which is to do my utmost to honour the promises I made to Downswood residents during the by-election, that is to say, to do doing my best to make this part of Maidstone a wonderful place to live for its residents.
