Following a meeting last week with Kent Police and the Community Safety Team, it was discussed that youths with catapults are a county-wide issue and not just an isolated problem for Downswood.

Kent Police will begin foot patrols in Downswood and will be visiting Mallards more frequently. Residents are reminded to report any form of anti-social behaviour directly to the police, especially if it is ongoing.

Additionally, Bearsted and Downswood were reported to have the lowest crime rates, including anti-social behaviour levels, within the Maidstone Borough Council area - great news.
